Zobo drink is a refreshing Nigerian hibiscus drink made from dried hibiscus leaves, pineapple, ginger, cloves, and sweetener. It is deep red, slightly tangy, and often served chilled at home, parties, and celebrations.
Zobo pairs well with Nigerian snacks and meals like Akara Recipe, Nigerian Rice and Stew, and Nigerian Yam and Egg Sauce.
What Is Zobo?
Zobo is made by boiling dried hibiscus petals, also called zobo leaves, with spices and fruit. It is similar to hibiscus tea but usually richer and more flavorful because of the added ginger, pineapple, and cloves.

- 1 thumb-size piece of ginger, sliced
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 6 to 8 cups water
